‘The Fosters’ season 2 premiere spoilers: Maia Mitchell on Callie story

Tomorrow night on ABC Family, “The Fosters” is going to come back on the air with all-new episodes, and hopefully this will lead to a bevy of funny, interesting stories that allow for further development into these characters’ lives … especially when it comes to Callie.

With the revelation that Callie’s biological father is still somewhere out there, this is a very confusing time for her. While she feels a certain way about not wanting to have him around, it is possible that this could change. But, for now, she is more focused on something else that remains far more important to her: The feelings and strain that her circumstances put on Jude.

Speaking to TVLine about this very subject, actress Maia Mitchell (who plays the character) had the following to say on the subject:

“When the season picks up, you see her basically trying to figure that out. She’s not interested in knowing who this person is. If she had her way, she would never put a face to his name. She doesn’t want to open another door and not know what’s on the other side of it. For Callie, now it’s really about the adoption and how can we get this happening, especially now that Jude’s been adopted. She really sees the effect that it has on Jude, knowing that he’s been adopted and she hasn’t. That’s really where her head’s at. She’s not so interested in knowing who this Robert Quinn person is.”

Will we ever meet this Robert Quinn? We certainly would not rule it out, mostly because with television things always to get far more complicated than you would at first assume. We’ll just have to see where the story leads.
