2014 MMVAs: Watch official live stream for show hosted by Kendall, Kylie Jenner
Typically when it comes to awards shows, there are not too many chances that you get to watch some official live streams. Websites still typically boast about having them, only to later mislead you in an attempt to get more page views.
However, we are here to tell you that there is an official live stream available for the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards (a.k.a. the MMVAs) courtesy of the network itself, and it can be watched all around the world for free! It will start at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time (so 6:00 p.m. Pacific, or if you are in the UK 2:00 a.m.), and then run for the next two hours. There is a red-carpet show starting on Much at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, but there has not been any announcement about whether or not this show will be live streamed globally.
The show is hosted this year by Kendall and Kylie Jenner, which is certainly a surprising choice given that they are neither Canadian nor musicians nor really even hosts. Most of their credentials come just from them being in the target demographic, being relatively famous, and them liking music and many of the artists in attendance. Their goal for the show? To simply try to have fun.
As for the musical lineup, Lorde, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, and Ariana Grande are meant to be some of the big performers on the night alongside Canadian groups such as Hedley. It is typically a show that celebrates both the best in local and international music, though there are times when it is a little more obsessed with celebrity culture than it really needs to be.
