’24: Live Another Day’ episode 8 preview: Jack Bauer, Heller, and 200th episode shockers

“24” is a series that loves to do shocking things, whether it be killing off characters in spectacular fashion or giving you enormous cliffhangers to stare in awe at. All shows love to do huge things for their 200th episodes, or at least the ones lucky enough to make it this far in the run.

With all of this in mind, it is pretty easy to figure out that the 200th installment of this series in particular is going to be insane. Could President Heller die, is he really going to negotiate with a terrorist like Margot, and how angry is Jack Bauer going to get before all of this is over? Right now, we see these as three very worthy questions.

As we do near the end of this season, we know that there are some things that will have to happen. The stakes are going to have to be raised so high that Jack can really be a hero once again, just as you also need to have things become so dramatic that you really care what happens. There is also going to be some sort of time jump coming up so that the show’s format of covering 24 hours is still intact, even if the show is doing something a little different and not doing an episode all in the span of a single day anymore. Some things are in fact changing to accommodate the shorter episode order this time around.
