‘Reign’ season 2: First promotional photo with Torrance Coombs

This is not the time of year that you particularly become accustomed to promotional photos coming out for some of your favorite shows. It typically happens a little later in the summer, since that is when shows want to start to get you pumped up for what is coming next.

Even though “Reign” season 2 may not be premiering until October, though, we already have a first look at actor Torrance Coombs (Bash). This is the first promotional photo for the new season (thanks to Reign Daily for uncovering it), and while it is nice to have, there isn’t exactly anything in here that is spoiler-worthy or even particularly notable. It’s just a nice image to have to get excited about what could lie ahead.

We like to think of the show’s first season as laying a proper foundation for both what this show and Mary as a leader could be, and now that we have gotten to know so many of the characters, the second season will be more about diving in and exploring a variety of different situations. This is a show that has produced already some pretty juicy and exciting moments, and we won’t see that change.

One other thing that won’t change? Thankfully, the timeslot. Airing after “The Vampire Diaries” certainly helped “Reign” out in the early going, and the two showed to naturally compliment one another well. This is one of the few nights next fall, along with Wednesdays, that will remain virtually unchanged.
