TV Quick Hits: ‘The Bridge’ season 2, ‘Orange Is the New Black,’ ‘Last Man Standing’ news
“The Bridge” season 2 teaser – Even though the July 9 return of “The Bridge” to FX really is not that far away right now, the network still has been a little shy when it comes to sharing details about what is coming up, but we do have a super-creepy new teaser to give you now.
There isn’t really anything in here that you can wrap your head around too much, save for the bizarre imagery of a swimming pool, a man in a mask, and a small child. This goes along with much of what we have heard as of late about this being a much creepier season than some of what we have had so far.
“Orange Is the New Black” promotion – There has been more news out there about the Netflix show’s third season lately, and the latest announcement we have to make is simply congratulations to Dascha Polanco, who per Deadline has been upgraded to a regular moving forward. She has appeared in almost every episode of the series so far as Dayanara Diaz, one of the more “likable” women in the prison.
“Last Man Standing” news – Speaking of promotions, Deadline also confirms that Jonathan Adams has been promoted to regular on the ABC comedy in the role of neighbor Chuck Larabee. He’s this show’s version of Wilson, except you see him much of the time.
Finally, congratulations to Alex Trebek for getting the Guinness World Record for the most episodes of a game show hosted by a single person. This is a testament in the end to just how long he has hosted this show.
