‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2: Could ‘Community’s’ Danny Pudi stop by for a role?

Danny Pudi -The Marvel universe certainly seems to be doing a great job right now of casting TV comedy actors in some of their movies, and giving them a chance to shine beyond what is commonly expected of them. We saw this with Cobie Smulders from “How I Met Your Mother,” and also now with “Community” actor Danny Pudi.

With an appearance under his belt now in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Pudi is now a bona fide member of the Marvel family; but does this mean an appearance on “Agents of SHIELD” could be in the cards now? The track record definitely suggests that it could be, given that Cobie made appearances on the show during its first season despite a pretty busy schedule. Even if “Community” is picked up by Hulu for a sixth season (unlikely as that may be), there would still most likely be plenty of time for something to be worked out.

If nothing else, we know that Pudi is certainly game to give the idea a shot. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine about mostly the former NBC show, he commented on how he would feel about joining Coulson and company on ABC:

“Anything is possible. I never thought that Captain America was possible. I also never thought that being on Cougar Town was possible. So… why not? No one’s contacted me about that. But please tell everyone that I am available and interested!”

Personally, we are also very interested in seeing what happens here! Pudi is a gifted actor for one, and “Agents of SHIELD” could use more actors like him around from time to time to shake things up and give you many different personalities.

Marvel notoriously keeps things about their movies and shows under wraps, so you can probably expect there to not be much more out there about the new season until later this summer.
