‘Under the Dome’ season 2: Stephen King reads portion of premiere script
Are you excited for “Under the Dome” season 2? Well, we have it under pretty good authority right now that you are not the only one, and the show’s return on Monday, June 30 is really not even that far away anymore.
With all of this in mind, we are now brought to what is going to be the next focus of our discussion right now: A new video featuring Stephen King reading the first part of the script from the premiere. It’s not enough of something that you will actually start jumping up and down with excitement, but it should have you a little more excited … especially since the horror novelist actually wrote the entire first episode of the season.
Some of the creative challenges for the writers this time include trying to find a way to carry some of King’s vision for the books over into a much larger medium, given that there is a story here that may not be anywhere near the end. The TV show is about to diverge in a very big way from the source material, and there are only two ways that this could go: Really well, or on the way to a completely disaster. It would not be that surprising to us at all to see people complain because the show is in a sophomore slump, but it also would not be that big of a surprise to see people complain just for the sake of complaining.
