‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5: Catch up on everything, now! (video)

When you have a show that is five seasons into its run, there are times when it can admittedly be next to impossible to get new viewers to check it out. After all, there is a lot of commitment that goes into taking a look at a program when you can watch something a little more accessible and digestible.

Luckily, the folks over at “Rizzoli & Isles” really do want to make things as easy as possible for you, at least based on the latest video that was released courtesy of TNT. This gives you the basic outline of some of the events in Jane and Maura’s life that you should be aware of going into the season 5 premiere on Tuesday night, and it also lets you know a little bit more about some supporting players, as well.

With some shows, we imagine that putting them into a format as digestible as a three-minute clip would be impossible; but, given that this show has so many procedural elements in the first place, it is probably a little bit easier to do than something like “The Walking Dead” or “Homeland” would otherwise be. The first episode should also serve as a nice reintroduction to some of the characters, and depending on whatever tone the new showrunner chooses to set, there could be other changes that make it stand out somewhat in comparison to all of the episodes that came before it.
