‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 spoilers: Assorted scoop on outfits, places
Finding out details on an upcoming season of “Downton Abbey” is often akin to finding buried treasure. Sometimes you are given a clue or two, but the left is typically up to you to figure it out.
We’re not going to be one to come on here and ruin everything in regards to the show, mostly because this is a series that is so story-based that finding out a few simple details could ruin everything. However, we will at least give you some assorted updates today that shouldn’t give too much away, and actually have you excited still for what is coming on the other side in September (if you’re in the UK) or early next year (if you are in America; some countries air new episodes even later).
- Suspicion is that there have already been some scenes filmed for the Christmas special / the finale for people in other parts of the world. Given that there is still a little time left in production, we wonder if there is some work being done out of order.
- PBS posted an image of a sailor outfit on Twitter in order to get people to guess who was the character wearing it … and since the answer appears to be young George, there is really nothing to make of this right now. No significant character is running off to join the Navy.
- There have also been some sightings at a train station for some scenes recently, but we are going to shy away from sharing any of the actors who were present to not give too much away right now.
