‘The X Factor’ notes: James Arthur, Alex & Sierra, and Caroline Flack
Let’s start this “X Factor” notes with some news that many of you probably saw coming a little while ago: James Arthur is no longer with Syco Records. He said as much in a post on Twitter, where he “thanked all at the label for making a great record” with him.
Obviously, there are a number of ways that you could look at what happened here to cause this to go down, and some may involve things that happened outside of the recording show. We’ve always felt like James is a very talented guy, but he may have actually been better not having to deal with the pressures and bureaucracy that go along with being under SImon Cowell’s label. This is hardly the end of his career, so we’ll just have to wait and see what he chooses to do from here on out.
Caroline Flack leaving “The Xtra Factor” – Why does this aftershow have such a high turnover rate? It seems like a pretty fun, relatively easy job. Still, it has been confirmed now that Caroline and Matt Richardson will not be back for next season.
In a statement, Caroline said the following:
“I have a lil announcement. After three brilliant years of hosting Xtra Factor its time to pass the baton. It’s been incredible and I’ll never forget it.
“How can I when I am married to Louis Walsh? It’s all he ever talks about at home. I wish the new team all the best and look forward to watching the new series.”
Alex & Sierra’s show – Just in case you had not heard just yet, the most-recent winners of the American version of the show are going to be performing in the Los Angeles area on Monday night. The show was already moved to a new venue in the Avalon due to demand. You can find out some more information over at the link here.
