‘Royal Pains’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Another look ahead

At the end of Tuesday night’s “Royal Pains” premiere, USA was kind enough to share a preview for what would be coming up in the episode ahead. Now, there is another peek uploaded to the internet, but this one is not particularly spoilery at all.

Instead, this is something more along the lines of a general theme for the show as a whole: A ridiculously large number of people fall ill in the Hamptons and are desperate need of help, and then HankMed shows up with a medicine bag and advice. There is a nice sort of self-awareness to it all, since this show has the classic “Murder, She Wrote” dilemma of having far more crises taking place than probably do in real life proportional to the population.

Now, we turn to something a little more specific. The first thing that we should note here is that there is a title change, and this episode is now known seemingly as “All in the Family.” This is still probably an allusion to the Emma storyline, given that her arrival and her “secret” are such that they could shake up the lives of HankMed forever. Hopefully, this is going to be one of those “the more, the merrier” sort of situations, and we’re not introducing a female Cousin Oliver character now that everyone else has become so skilled at what they are doing (even Evan, who had a habit at one point for messing things up royally).
