‘The Musketeers’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Misfits,’ ‘Resident Evil’ actors sign on
It has been a little while now since some news has been revealed in regards to “The Musketeers,” and with that being said, we are pleased that the BBC unveiled something today in a new press release in regards to season 2 casting.
Let us start with “Die Another Day” and “Resident Evil” star Colin Salmon, who is going to play a role that is not that fishy at all (sorry, we had to) on the series. Specifically, he will be Tariq, a mysterious man who is on the run from Spain and who will obviously interact with the other characters in an interesting way.
Meanwhile, the other new announcement was that Antonia Thomas (“Misfits”) will take on the part of Samara. She is the daughter of Tariq, and is extremely brave and determined despite the circumstances that are surrounding her. When her father is exiled, she has to find a way to handle the constant sense of danger and despair that surrounds her.
In this aforementioned statement, executive producers Adrian Hudges and Jessica Pope had the following to say about the two additions:
“We’re excited to welcome an actor of Colin’s reputation to The Musketeers. He will bring wonderful charisma and sense of mystery to the role.
“We’ve also been aware for some time of Antonia’s wonderful work in films and TV series such as Sunshine On Leith and Misfits, among numerous others. She brings such intelligence and vibrancy to every role she plays and we are thrilled to have her as Samara.”
