‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5 video: Angie Harmon, cast discuss stories ahead

Can you believe the new season of “Rizzoli & Isles” is just about upon us? Well, it’s only a matter of five days now from the time of this writing!

This is a show that looks to be bringing back just about everything that you loved from the past few seasons, including some great cases, character stories, relationships, and also action and humor. Angie Harmon goes as far as to call it her favorite season to date, which is certainly a rather big statement.

Are there higher expectations because of the hype? We wouldn’t say so, since our expectations for this show mostly are just for it to deliver some summer entertainment on TNT. What it does it does very well, and while there will be a little bit of pushing the envelope in the episodes ahead, we do not expect the show to try to become something entirely different from what we know it to be. Also, TNT has a lot in stake for staying the course here, given that this is one of the network’s highest-rated shows, and with the fate of so many new programs (including “The Last Ship”) still unclear, it really needs to make sure that it brings the numbers here.
