ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4: Kerry Washington reflects on Olivia, Fitz, and much more
With Emmy season heating up, this is a nice opportunity to finally get some discussion from some of the actors you love about some of the work that they are doing. When it involves a very specific TV show in “Scandal,” we love and appreciate it that much more. After all, the show has been off of the air for longer than most of the other standard network shows, and there is literally so much to talk about.
Unfortunately, the downside there is given how much Shonda Rhimes forces things to stay under wraps when it comes to this show, there is only so much at a given time that people are going to be allowed to say. Luckily, at least the video below featuring Kerry Washington from GoldDerby gives you so much story meat that there really is quite a bit to dive in here and enjoy, whether you are talking about what happened to Olivia last season, the status of the character and Fitz, and some of her own feelings about how pregnancy changed her performance.
In the end, it’s a nice supplement to remind yourself on all that has happened on “Scandal” as of late, and also get you excited for the fourth season. There is not a firm premiere date just yet, but we would expect this to come up at some point in Early October.

Liv and Fitz are deeply in love with each other. This has been shown these past three seasons. No matter what obstacles: Defiance, Verna’s death, and Fitz shooting down the plane that Liv thought her mom was on. It’s time to just let this couple be, and stop throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them. There’re the main couple on the show, the writers don’t have to marry them, but let them exist as a couple; happy, loving, arguing, just a couple. Fitz has told everyone who will listen that he’s in love with Olivia, including his wife, who has condoned their relationship. There’s no other man for Liv and no other woman for Fitz. Fitz is not going to suddenly stop loving Liv, or vice versa. They are miserable when they are apart; it’s time for these two characters to be as one.

Livi and Fitz together is too easy. Tumultuous love is what gets the ratings. I dont think they will be together the very last episode.

The writers have built up this big epic romance and it wouldn’t make sense to not put them together. It essentially would make Fitz look like a fraud for the entire time. He’s finally met and fell in love with the love of his life and he would just let her go. I believe they will be together. Fitz is in his fifties, I doubt he’s going to fall in love with another woman. He’s already found her.
