‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 2: Creator on Aria’s trauma, more

Who -Tuesday night’s season 5 premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” definitely crammed a lot in when it comes to drama, but there is one moment in particular that we imagine staying with us for quite a while moving forward: Aria becoming a killer. She didn’t mean to take Shana’s life when she threw her off of the stage, and it was meant more to be a moment built out of self-defense.

However, death is still death, and Aria is going to have to feel the responsibility that goes along with being a killer for not just the rest of the season, but also the series. She is not a cold, callous character, and in many ways really she is the last person among the four Liars you would want or expect to see go through something like this.

Want to get some more news now on what lies ahead? Then just look at what show boss Marlene King had to say in a new interview on the subject with TVLine:

“It affects her tremendously. One of the questions the girls have always asked is “Why did Ali pick us? Why were we the team she put together to be her friends?” And those answers will come. One of the reasons she picked Aria is because she’s so compassionate, and now that — as you say — she’s tasted her first kill, it will affect her dramatically. And traumatically.”

As for whether or not the police are going to get involved, the big thing to remember here is that in the world of “Pretty Little Liars,” nothing is ever handled easily. Therefore, you may think that something is taken care of right now only to realize later that is more still that needs to be addressed.
