Jimmy Fallon, Jeff Daniels, Jim Carrey, and a ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ trailer reveal
Jimmy Fallon is certainly killing things right now when it comes to the big reveals. He just brought back “Tight Pants” with Jennifer Lopez, and tonight he had none other than Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey around to celebrate the “Dumb and Dumber To” trailer reveal. (Yes, it is meant to be spelled that way.)
We’re not a movie site, so we’ll leave most of the die-hard analysis of the actors’ latest effort to some who are. What we will say, though, is that it is very jarring to watch this right after getting used to seeing Daniels as Will McAvoy on “The Newsroom.” This is the kind of guy that Will would probably want to punch in the face. There are typical shenanigans in here, and if you enjoyed the original, odds are that you will probably enjoy the sequel. You’ve been certainly waiting for a real one long enough, haven’t you?
It didn’t take long for the trailer to start trending on Twitter, which should be some pretty good evidence to everyone out there that these two certainly still have it when it comes to getting people excited. Obviously, a big reveal on a late-night talk show helps, and even TV shows like “Game of Thrones” have gotten into a habit of doing this at times. We’re in the age now where TV really helps movies far more than it ever did before, since this is the biggest platform out there to get a variety of content.
