‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 premiere review: What did Ezra whisper; also, is ‘A’ dead?

Pretty Little Liars -You knew that the “Pretty Little Liars” season 5 premiere on Tuesday night was going to be super-intense, but who assumed that there would be this much going on without any of the main characters in Rosewood? Let’s not waste any time here in diving into the night’s major highlights.

Who killed Wilden – This was the biggest reveal of the early part of this episode, as we uncovered that it was none other than CeCe Drake, Alison’s protector, who ended up doing away with the cop. The funny thing about this is that with everything else going on, this ended up being an afterthought.

A new “A” suspect? – The show didn’t waste too much time at all blowing the doors off of another possible “A” suspect, as it turned out that Shana was a traitor and was going against Alison in protection of Jenna.

When the Liars proclaimed that it “was over” when Aria killed her after she started brandishing a gun everywhere, you had to know that this wasn’t the end of the story … right? It was more of a new beginning. Aria has to obviously deal with the fact that in one or another, she’s a killer. Granted, we were a little shocked that this fall into an orchestra pit was enough to kill Shana, but crazier things have happened on this show.

What did Ezra whisper? – Another huge question that needs answering is strictly in regards to this big moment. This is one of the first times that one of the Liars knows something so specific that we do not, and who knows? Maybe this was inconsequential. Either way, it’s a secret now, and Aria may have some power in keeping that to herself.

There is still so much here to be addressed, including Mona’s hater club, but we have to say that this premiere certainly brought the action and we’re pretty stoked about that. Let’s just hope that the action and the mystery continues. Grade: B+.
