‘Fargo’ episode 9 preview: Will Lester push Malvo too far?

“Fargo” has delivered a number of surprises over the course of its excellent first season, but none to us was more substantial than the massive time jump that took place last week. We’re suddenly in a position where Lester is re-married, Molly is pregnant, and Malvo seems to be on a new path after basically committing a massacre in a building.

So what happens when some of these worlds again collide? This will be the focus in part of Tuesday night’s episode, as Lester tries to approach Malvo and realizes that not all is at it seems here. This does not quite go according to plan, and Lester realizes that he would have been so much better off leaving well enough alone.

As for the rest of the story, you are going to be see some clues start to come in that lead to the case being re-opened, and Lester’s brother potentially getting exonerated. Given that there are only two episodes left before the finale, what we are very excited about here is the opportunity to find out if the show can really tie the mystery together in an interesting way. Molly and Gus are the only two with a real capacity to change things, but given everything else that is going on with their family, they may be a little distracted.

Also, we’re not going to let the look of Malvo serve as a distraction. We’re pretty sure that he has a capacity to kill.
