‘Falling Skies’ season 5, episode 1 video: See Noah Wylie, cast in extended video

Even though “Falling Skies” season 5 may not be on the air until June 22, TNT did decide to present quite a gift to you this weekend with an extended give-minute look at the premiere.

In the video, the first thing that you are likely going to notice is that there is an actual feeling of peace for a change. Everyone appears to be happy! Tom and company are arriving to their new home in Charleston, and everything appears to be going just fine … if for only a matter of minutes.

Of course, nobody can ever really be that happy on this show for long, since it’s science fiction and things would suddenly get rather dry and dull if they were. Thanks to this, we have the transition into chaos with the arrival of some extraterrestrial mechs, and we immediately see what one of the central conflicts of the entire story will be: Tom and Anne are separated, and this means that Lexi is suddenly without her mother. This isn’t going to be the only problem that she faces, though, since over the course of the season there are going to be some cryptic messages and powers shown off by this young woman.

All in all, you can expect to see a pretty intense premiere that succeeds in introducing the new mythology, and also some other great alien races. This is what has us more excited than ever before. Hopefully, though, the end of the premiere will give you some sort of answer as to where we are heading the rest of the way.
