Right now, the internet is not exactly flush when it comes to news on “Hell on Wheels” season 4. We’ve said some of this quite a few times already, but this is the sort of symptom that comes with the series filming in Calgary, and it having the same sort of secret set as fellow AMC shows “Mad Men” and “The Walking Dead.”
Sometimes, you have to be happy to just get a look behind the scenes, and that is what the latest behind-the-scenes photo here (shared by executive producer John Wirth on Twitter) is really all about. The biggest thing that this photo gives you is merely a sense of what the atmosphere this season is going to be, and maybe it helps in a way to assuage any of the possible fears that you have about things changing too much, just because of the circumstances that Cullen Bohannon finds himself in at the start of the season.
The new season will start on Saturday August 2, and with a slightly longer season this time, you should get a chance to see a pretty rich story that also completely supports that risk taken by the network to stick the show on Saturdays. The fans have followed them to the night, which has allowed them to build something that we wished they had for even the first two seasons.
As for some further plot details, all we can say is “stay tuned.”
