‘So You Think You Can Dance’ preview: Meet Jenna Scaccia, Franchesca Bass
Wednesday night’s “So You Think You Can Dance” episode is going to feature new auditions coming in from Chicago and Los Angeles, and before this episode even comes on TV, you’ve got a chance to see two auditions below that are probably going to go rather well with the judges.
Jenna Scaccia – Her movement is quick and crisp, and this routine also happens to be one of the most dramatic we’ve seen in terms of music. The only dichotomy is that for music that is so foreboding, she actually seems to be smiling quite a bit.
Franchesca Bass – A very unique dancing style, since it almost comes across as fluid or liquid how she moves around the floor. There is genuine talent that is here, but we would not be surprised if she is sent over to choreography just so that they can ensure that she can do a little more of a traditional routine.
At some point during this episode, we are sure that Justin Bieber is going to turn up again in order to introduce another round of dance crew battles … and we’ll probably go to sleep through most of it. We actually like the idea of having a crew perform at the finale, but the problem we have with it here is that Bieber sounded completely lifeless and unenthusiastic during the premiere, especially comparing to Cat Deeley’s energy or the way in which Mary Murphy screams her face off anytime that she sees someone who she likes.
