‘Royal Pains’ season 6: Hank gets back to business in new poster

“Royal Pains” season 6 is going to premiere just a week from Tuesday night, and the latest poster for the show really just screams one thing to us: A return to normalcy. Rather than highlight a drug addiction, a new baby, or anything else, this seems a little more intent on reminding us that the show wants to return more to its roots in the episodes ahead.

When it comes to strategic moves that the series could be making right now, this is a very smart one. We know that there were some that enjoyed the fifth season and we’re one of them, but the longtime strength of the show was more in the presentation of stories that were breezy, crisp, and perfect for summer. We like seeing some of those serialized stories mixed in with the standalone cases, and everything about this poster suggests that we will be back to having the show that we had in some of the early seasons.

Granted, there is still plenty of change that you should be aware of given that Divya is a mother now, and that is not going to go away despite some of the show attempting to return to its roots. We’re also happy for this level of change, at least so long as she has some opportunities to go and do some other things. Hopefully, this will include some more time with Dr. Sacani, but we say that as more of an avid shipper of the two than a standard viewer of the show.
