ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: The writing process is officially underway!

So far, we assume that the waiting for more “Castle” information is not an easy thing to do right now … especially with the way in which season 6 ended. There are cliffhangers, and then there is the massive one that the show left you on.

We teased over the weekend that today would be the first day for the writers together again, and now it is definitely official. Chad Gomez Creasey was one of the first to post on Twitter, saying in cheeky fashion “I know something you don’t know. #Castle S7.” Shawn Waugh has also chimed in with a line of his own. If the “Castle” writers room is like many others, one of the first orders of business will be brainstorming and coming up with general outlines of some of what needs to happen. Before episodes are divided up, everyone needs to be on the same page in regards to important plot points.

In getting back to the show itself for a moment, we personally feel like the waiting game is a little more about the “how” and the “why” than if Castle is going to live to see the premiere. there’s no way that the title character is going to be killed off on the show at any point before the finale. Otherwise, there is no story left here to tell at all. We expect a dramatic premiere, and hopefully after that the show will get back to creating that balance of humor and serious crime-solving that we have come to love. There is no firm premiere date yet, but we are feeling more and more like Monday, September 22 may be the day. Unless something crazy happens, it will be this date or the 29th based on past evidence.
