‘Crossbones’ episode 2 preview: A video peek for ‘The Covenant’

After the “Crossbones” premiere, the primary  issue at hand is going to be whether or not the cat-and-mouse game between Blackbeard and Tom Lowe slows down, sleeps up, or does something else entirely. While there were some other characters that we started to meet in the premiere, they have not been fleshed out at all just yet.

The interesting thing about the video below is that it is not so much a preview for Friday night’s new episode “The Covenant.” Instead, it is more of a look at the entire upcoming season as a whole. If you love pirates and are familiar with the genre of TV already, then odds are you are going to know a thing or two about what you can expect. Will there be some drama? You better believe it, as plans for Blackbeard start to become a little bit more clear. As it turns out, this man may not exactly be satisfied in the slightest by just ruling over Jamaica, and he may be looking for another way to expand his rule.

Also, you better be ready to expect romance … and in a variety of forms. There are enough proposals and steamy scenes in this teaser to make you think that you are watching “The Bachelor,” except a season set aboard a pirate ship with some really great costumes to go along with it.

Even though there are still some flaws with the series, there was enough that was done right in this premiere to have us still excited in how the journey presses ahead. We’ll be here the rest of the way.
