‘Switched at Birth’ season 3 spoilers: First details on summer premiere

As you may know already if you are a “Switched at Birth” fan, the show is gearing up for a return to ABC Family on Monday, June 16. There is still a sizable chunk of the season 3 story left to tell, and it will start by addressing one important question: What in the world is Bay going to do now?

At the end of the first half of this season, she and Emmett got close for some “unexpected” romance. Clearly this probably had many fans excited … but it makes things for herself a little more complicated. The one thing that we’d be sad about if Tank goes away is that we’d be losing Max Adler. We’ve loved him ever since he was Karofsky on “Glee,” and we do hope that he finds a job somewhere where he does not interfere in a potential endgame for a beloved TV twosome.

The first episode back certainly has a somber title to it in “Love Among the Ruins,” but the short synopsis at least gives us a little more hope than we would have had otherwise:

“Bay faces the consequences of her unplanned romantic encounter with Emmett. Will she break up with Tank? Will Bay and Emmett start a new life together?

“Meanwhile, Daphne sets out to find the person who vandalized her mom’s design studio. And Matthew continues to bully Emmett.”

Does this make you excited about the future of the show? We certainly are, largely because of the potential that we have here for some more relationship drama. We also know that some other interesting stories will pop up as you get a little further along into the story. This is just the big thread that is being used to advertise.
