MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: First details on midseason finale

The great news that there are 20 episodes that constitute this fourth season of “Awkward,” but there is also some bad news in that you’re not going to get a chance to see all of them continuously. After the June 17 episode airs, the show will be heading off on a break for a while until the fall, at least presumably. This is the pattern that the show had the last time it was on the air.

Now this big episode (the 10th one of the season officially, at least when you count the one-hour premiere as only one episode) carries with it the tongue-and-cheek title of “Snow Job,” and based on the synopsis released by MTV, there is going to be some pretty major stuff that happens:

“At the senior ski trip, rivalries and romances culminate.”

Obviously, that is not the most descriptive synopsis ever, but we’ve got a ton happening right now that could all make for an interesting episode once everything starts to come together. You have Jake and Tamara at odds, Matty and Jenna having weird feelings towards each other, and Jenna’s recent attempts to romance a college guy rather than anyone at Palos Hills.

There are still many questions that we have in terms of the future of the series. For example, are we really nearing the end, and is there going to be anything else for us to look forward to once Jenna goes off to college? The challenge here is that we’re already at senior year, and you cannot keep these people in high school forever.
