‘Girl Meets World’ spoilers: Official details on first two episodes

Girl -Typically when you look at summer TV, you don’t have a situation where one of the most-anticipated shows for adults is airing on a network for kids. However, that is precisely what is happening for the Disney Channel and “Girl Meets World.” The show returns on June 27, but before you get to that point, why not take advantage of a chance now to talk all about what is coming up?

Specifically, what we have for you below are some of the first details regarding the preliminary two episodes of the show. The first one is obviously the pilot, while the one after that should take out a little bit deeper into what life for Cory and Topanga is like now that they are parents with young children. Take a look at the official synopses below (via SpoilerTV).

Episode 1×01, “Girl Meets World” – “When Maya leads a rebellion in class, Riley joins in to try to be like her – much to her father, Cory’s, dismay.”

Episode 1×02, “Girl Meets Friendship” – “Riley and Maya think back on the past and how they became best friends. Meanwhile, Cory and Topanga get notes from Auggie’s teacher saying that he’s been bad at school. “

To us, it really feels like there is a strong parallel when it comes to the potential success of this show and the “Reading Rainbow” Kickstarter that killed it this week in meeting its financial goal. Both of these shows have a chance of succeeding in this marketplace thanks mostly to the fact that the “Boy Meets World” and original “Reading Rainbow” viewers are now adults, and they can share these products with their families. Even though we’re somewhat nervous that the Disney Channel will water down the original sitcom with “Girl Meets World,” we’ve been assured so many times that the opposite will happen that we’ll do our best to try and believe it.
