‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 spoilers: The first struggle for Mariska Hargitay’s Benson
Even though Olivia Benson may have ended “Law & Order: SVU” season 15 in a much better place than she began it, that should not be taken as any sort of definitive indicator that she is out of the woods yet. While William Lewis may be dead, there are other issues that need to be taken on following Olivia’s adoption of Noah.
According to a report from TV Guide, some of the attempts for Mariska Hargitay’s character to spend time with her new son will be stalled thanks in part to trying to figure out who was responsible for killing the boy’s mother. This is a story that will potentially put all of the characters involved into some sort of danger, which should not really surprise you given that many of these sort of cases seem to be having that sort of effect right now.
So who could end up coming to the character’s rescue? The report claims that an “old friend” is going to step in and help you, but no word on who this old friend could be. That’s the great thing about a show that has been on the air for 15 seasons! Ultimately, you have a ton of various possibilities that are out there.
The new season will premiere at some point in the fall, and as soon as this case is handled, we anticipate the show getting back into its groove again … which we certainly support and celebrate. There are few things out there that feel as necessary to network TV as vintage “Law & Order,” and this is the only show left that can provide that.

I would love to see Olivia happy for a change (would love Brian to come back) and to have a happy relationship again one that is not doomed, like Bensidy was in the beginning before they had lack of scenes or romance together and Dean got the new show
