‘Better Call Saul’ spoilers: Aaron Paul still interested in Jesse cameo

Better Call Saul season 1Even though “Breaking Bad” may technically be off of the air now, you have to expect quite a few stories related to the franchise over the next several weeks thanks to one key reason: Awards season. The show will most likely be nominated everything under the sun for its final season, which should give an opportunity for the old cast and crew to get together again.

Also, it should allow for some more “Better Call Saul” stories like this one, where Aaron Paul reminds everyone that he is still interested in coming back for another go as Jesse Pinkman. Speaking per Digital Spy at the BAFTA Awards last week, Paul explained that it is the younger, happier version of the character he would really want to explore:

“[I’ll be in it] if they’ll have me. It’s a prequel, so it’d be nice to play Jesse Pinkman again in his happier times.”

For us, the obvious information that we want pertains to whether or not Jesse made it through the events of the finale unscathed, but we will probably never find that out. The reality is that his joyride escape was probably short-lived, but we like to dream that he somehow got off and is somewhere living a normal life. Maybe he found that cabin Walt was staying in and where Robert Forster was taking care of him. We’d be okay with that if it meant that Jesse got to stay out of prison.

Given that “Better Call Saul” will not be on the air for many more months, we have plenty of opportunities ahead to continue to discuss the show. Therefore, stay tuned!
