‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: More on Kit Harrington, Emilia Clarke moves
June is almost here, and for fans of “Game of Thrones,” this means an opportunity to see the final three episodes of season 4. There is some very big stuff ahead, including what may potentially be the biggest story that Jon Snow has ever had since the very beginning of the show.
As the synopsis for “The Watchers on the Wall” (airing a week from Sunday) teases, “Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the rest of the Night’s Watch face the biggest challenge to the Wall yet.” That Wilding invasion that we’ve been hearing so much about since the start of the season is finally going to arrive, and that means that the potential for death looms large. You also have to wonder what Ygritte’s role is going to be in all of this. After her big role last year, Rose Leslie has been extremely marginalized and limited to just a few brief cameos so far in this season.
As for the finale on June 15 entitled “The Children,” the synopsis for that is at least a little bit more descriptive:
“An unexpected arrival north of the Wall changes circumstances. Dany (Emilia Clarke) is forced to face harsh realities. Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) learns more of his destiny. Tyrion sees the truth of his situation.”
The biggest question with this finale is merely if the show will save its biggest shocker for it, or follow recent tradition and have the ninth one be the one that really has your jaw on the floor. Just look at the Red Wedding or the death of Ned Stark.
