‘The Originals’ season 2: Phoebe Tonkin and changes

Unlike the majority of the other shows airing on The CW, “The Originals” has done something a little bit different with its second season: Before taking off for their summer vacation, the cast stuck together for a while to film a few more episodes of season 2. It’s an unusual move, but one that was most-likely done for scheduling reasons.

But apparently, this is not the only thing related to the show and the cast that is changing. Phoebe Tonkin is undergoing a swap when it comes to social media. The actress confirmed on her Twitter account that she is moving away from there onto Facebook, which could be for a variety of reasons. However, we will say that we won’t quite blame her at all if it has anything to do with her not wanting to deal with the awful new Twitter layout.

Tonkin is definitely keeping busy during these summer months between seasons, traveling and even spending some time with her fellow cast members, including longtime friend Claire Holt. Rebekah returned during the season finale of “The Originals” to take care of Hayley and Klaus’ baby Hope. While we have been given no indication that she will be around in any sort of regular capacity moving into season 2, that was a nice little wait to put a button on her story for her time being.

As for Hayley, she is in the worst position of her life. Not only is she a hybrid now without much of her previous identity, but she doesn’t have her child. This is just a double-whammy of depression she will have to deal with.
