NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3 spoilers: Is a ‘different’ Will Graham ahead?
In the days that have followed the season 2 finale for “Hannibal,” one thing has started to become more and more clear to many out there: Will Graham is not going to be going anywhere. Hugh Dancy is an enormous part of the show, and with him being the main counterpoint to Dr. Lecter right now, it would be very difficult to imagine the show without him.
When Will does return somehow after that gruesome finale, there is one thing that we do certainly know in that he is not going to be able to be the same exact guy that he was before. As executive producer Bryan Fuller explained recently to TV Guide, we are going to see this man take on many different characteristics in order to reach a new endgame:
“Will Graham has to change because of this experience. He has to be a different version of the man we’ve known. All the conversations I’ve had with Hugh Dancy have been about an entirely new Will Graham. Who is he now?”
Obviously, the first hurdle when it comes to Hannibal that needs to be jumped over is merely finding out where he is and if he can be brought in. From there, it is then ensuring that there is no way he can ever hurt anyone again. We are definitely looking at a very different version of the story now versus at the start of season 2, and Hannibal cannot merely float around in the shadows anymore and hope that the blame is shifted to someone else. He’s now a marked man.
