‘The Walking Dead’ season 5: Exec on transition from season 4
Are you ready for the start of “The Walking Dead” to be upon us? Well, you’re going to have to wait a while longer. The fifth season does not premiere until October, but you can at least enjoy the fact that we are a little bit closer to the show actually airing, and we also have some new comments on how the writers and producers are approaching the series now versus a few years ago. They have more preparation obviously along with an understanding of what they want the show to be.
Speaking in a new interview with AMC’s official site, executive producer Gale Ann Hurd stressed a little bit of how they work to give themselves now plenty of time to work on the premiere, mostly so that they can ensure that the bar is continually raised:
“I think we continue to learn not only how to do it well, but to make it better each season. We have a little extra time to shoot this premiere episode. One thing we learned is when we come back with a new season and we want to launch it right, we have enough time to do so.”
It it interesting right now that there is so much time being given to this premiere right now, mostly because the bulk of the episode could be revolving around what in the world is happening inside of the train car. With so many characters there, either they better move out or some other characters must be up to something in order for things to remain interesting.

Rick, and the rest of the group will kick ass like they always do, as soon as they figure a way to get out of the trailer safely!
