’24: Live Another Day’ episode 5 preview: Yvonne Strahovski quotes and more

Thanks in part to the special two-hour premiere of “24: Live Another Day,” this season is really blowing by rather quickly. Monday night marks the fifth episode of the season, and one where some motivations could start to become a little more clear for a few of the characters on the wrong side of the law.

You have probably seen already a few assorted teases for this episode, but the official synopsis below from Fox provides you with a little more of an idea as to just what you can expect:

“As Jack deals with unforeseen circumstances, an unlikely duo joins forces to prevent an impending attack in London. Meanwhile, homegrown terrorist Margot Al-Harazi (guest star Michelle Fairley) reveals her demands – revenge for her husband’s death in a U.S. airstrike. Also, President Heller (William Devane) orders a lockdown of military airspace, but it may be too late.”

So is this the episode where you start to find out a little bit more about what Yvonne Strahovski’s Kate is bringing to the table? It is at least possible, based on some of her comments to TVLine as to whether or not some backstory could be coming soon:

“Definitely. All that juicy backstory stuff is continuously in play. That’s what I love about the show is that you watch it and there’s a lot of intricate sort of family things going on, or moral dilemmas…. Things like that.”

The part of this that remains so exciting to us is that there is seemingly still so much further that the show can go when it comes to drama and intensity, and we are not even close to the pinnacle yet.
