MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Jenna plays matchmaker

Typically when Jenna Hamilton comes up with a scheme, it has typically one result: Something happens, but not what she expected going into it.

As it turns out, this may be a theme for the new episode of “Awkward” airing on MTV Tuesday night when she starts to realize that she is not anywhere near as okay with the idea of Matty dating someone else as she thinks that she would be. The premise here is simple enough in that things are going great for her and new college guy Luke, so she decides to orchestrate something that gets Matty closer than ever to Eva, the “too cool for school” kid who constantly tells stories about some of the famous people she has been around.

We’re not going to spoil what happens here, but this story turns into a night that almost all of the characters are going to remember. Jenna has her own relationship issues, Tamara is reeling from the fact that Jake truly hates her now, and there is also a great story in here for Sadie for everyone who loves that character (and you really should, given that she consistently delivers great entertainment week after week). Maybe this is a game-changing episode of the show, but if nothing else, it is an interesting ride that gets you into Jenna’s head as she tries to figure out whether or not she is fooling herself by proclaiming that she is over Matty and ready to move forward into a new phase of her life.
