‘True Blood’ season 7: More mystery (but still no Alexander Skarsgard teases) in poster
Our “Eric Northman watch” for “True Blood” season 7 continues. We’re still many weeks away from the premiere, and the show is doing the same thing now that they were at this point a week ago: Giving nothing.
Granted, with this particular poster all the show is trying to do is remind you that we are near the end of the road for the show … and there is “one last bite” to be taken. Hopefully, this bite is not going to be taken by some of the vampires infected with Hepatitis V, which is at the moment the principal evil at the center of the show. They are slowly making their way to Bon Temps, and survival will be the name of the game.
As for what is most-likely happening with Eric, we know that Alexander Skarsgard is a series regular, and we also now that Pam is going to spend a good bit of her own time in the early going this season searching for his whereabouts. We have to assume that he is alive, but who knows just how badly hurt he may be after being left in front of the sun at the top of a mountain?
Some of the other major questions right now include if Jason Stackhouse and Jessica can work things out, whether Sookie ends up with Alcide or Bill, and also if Arlene can finally find some sort of happiness after witnessing so much death. Tara and Lafayette are also going to have stories, but the content of them for the time being is a little unclear.

What do I think? I think HBO and True Blood are incredibly stupid for not doing everything they can to earn fans’ good favor back by fixing the debacle of last season and giving them what they want: Eric, Eric with Sookie, Eric with Pam, and more Eric. Bill getting what he deserves (meeting the true death) wouldn’t hurt either. Playing things close to the vest with the one character the majority of viewers care about most seems about as smart as poking a hornet’s nest with a stick. They’ve got DVD and BR sales to think of when this whole sad mess is over and done with, you know. True Blood, you’ve got a lot of ‘splaining to do.
