‘Supernatural’ season 10: Hopes for Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and more

What's coming up? -Can you believe that there will be a tenth season of “Supernatural“? Early on in the show’s run when we were constantly concerned over its future, this was something that we barely ever thought of as a possibility.

However, that possibility is now reality, and based on some of the various teasers that we’ve written about over the past several weeks, we are gearing up for what may actually be the most shocking and dramatic cliffhanger that we’ve had in a long, long time (with a nod to “True Detective” with that quote).

While at the time of this writing it is impossible to know anything concrete about what lies ahead (the scripts have not been written yet, and everything else is locked in production’s brain), we’ve at least compiled, as we have with some other shows that have recently ended, a number of things that we’d like to see unfold.

1. More Bobby – We only had a little bit of Jim Beaver at the beginning of the season. We realize that it’s tough with the character dead, but can’t we still dream?

2. More Charlie – This is a little more feasible, given that Felicia Day’s character is alive and still a part of Sam and Dean’s world. Thanks to “Slumber Party” being early in the year, it feels like forever since we’ve seen her.

3. Sam and Dean telling each other the truth – While we’re saying that Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles should be able to spend this whole season jumping through flower gardens, we’d like to see them more unified towards a common enemy. After all, shouldn’t they know by now that Winchesters who lie to each other are really just doing themselves a disservice?

4. A different use for the angels – We’re thrilled that Misha Collins is sticking around, but let’s not have a regurgitation of the angel war story all over again. Why not involve Castiel with some other storylines? (We personally loved him as a human, mostly because all of that stuff was just so fun.)

5. A new foe – Could it be a new demon, or could God show up and turn out to be something different than he’s hyped to be? What if there is a creature from a very different universe? While it’s possible we could see more Metatron, Abaddon is dead, and while we love Crowley, we like this show having more than one notable villain around most of the time.
