‘Survivor: Cagayan’ finale: Looking at Tony, Spencer, Kass as All-Star candidates
Every season on “Survivor” near he finale, we like to go through and provide the answer to one always-important question: Who is coming back? You know that somebody is going to, and possibly as early as season 30 depending on if the show goes through with giving us another epic All-Stars that is similar to “Heroes vs. Villains.” (It’s been five years, so it feels like it is time.)
Obviously, this is just our take on it, but there was a pretty great cast here as a whole! The interesting thing about this season is that you had many people who were extremely memorable and went home early, and then you had a bunch that went far. Most of the ho-hum players left around the middle of the game.
Locks to return (provided they want to)
Tony Vlachos – For us, this is a no-brainermand then some. He is the biggest character that the show has had arguably since Russell Hantz, and when it comes pure entertainment, we’d go back further and say he’s the best since Coach Wade. He plays the game hard, but the fun in watching him is that he does it all with a smile on his face.
Spencer Bledsoe – Spencer, as the ultimate underdog for almost the entire season, will surely have a bone thrown his way. It would fascinating to watch him just from the perspective of what would happen in the event that he actually had numbers and powers for a season. Would he may able to handle it and do just as well?
Kass McQuillen – Some may disagree with this, but we feel almost certain that Kass will get an invitation to play again. Even if you hate her, she’s still playing the game and playing it hard. She makes moves (a great prerequisite to getting asked back), and in addition to that, she also causes drama. There haven’t been too many players like Kass, and that makes her a luxury.
Possible, depending on the situation
Woo Hwang – It may not happen unless he wins, and there is an all-winners season where he can compete against other champs. (Still, we finds the likelihood of this happening to be pretty low.)
Morgan McLeod – “Survivor” does have a tendency to give certain players (especially young women) a chance when they feel like there is something more that they can offer the game. Morgan had a good grasp on how to manipulate, but she couldn’t find the “zombies” that Kass spoke about at one point in the game.
Sarah Lacina – A solid player who was simply the victim of getting a little too cocky at the wrong time. She could return for another season if producers are interested in casting an athletic woman to compete in the challenges who also has some sort of grasp on the game.
Next to impossible
Everyone else – Unless they have a “Second Chance” season (very unlikely) and bring back people like Garrett, J’Tia, Brice, and Cliff Robinson, there’s not anyone else in the cast that is particularly notable. LJ was a letdown in the end, Jeremiah and Jefra got no screen time, and Trish had an edit that was too uneven.

Twitter is hilarious. Russell warning Tony not to imitate him….even though the show’s been done with filming for several months. I loved Tony being the Idol king though.
