‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: Series boss on big changes for Booth, Brennan
Let’s start off this “Bones” article with what is a pretty substantial warning: Stop reading now if you want to avoid spoilers from the finale. There are plenty ahead, and we don’t want to come on here and ruin things for you.
Rather than beating around the bush here about what is going to be coming up around the bend here, we feel like it is pretty darn obvious: There is trouble ahead for Booth and Brennan. Big trouble. With Booth under arrest thanks to Stark’s command and his wife also potentially in trouble, as well, the two are going to have a very hard time trying to get through all of this. Show executive producer Stephen Nathan basically says as much as a part of a TV Guide interview:
“We’re going into Season 10 really dealing with the consequences of this finale. Booth is in handcuffs, Brennan has been taken into custody for questioning, and has been dragged away from Booth. The pain of their separation as well as the uncertainty of how this is going to play out is really how we wanted to leave the audience because it does a few things for us. It confirms this relationship which everybody has invested in and it solidifies that even more. Season 10 will start with all of this unresolved baggage, but with the determination of Brennan and Booth and the squints to draw this very painful and ugly chapter to a close.”
Nathan also claims that there will be some sort of time jump between seasons, but when we pick up, things are going to be virtually the same as they were when we left off. You are still going to see Booth in jail, and the other characters struggling to figure out what to do. The same goes for some other assorted problems at the Jeffersonian. Season 10 is going to be a time of great change for everyone, and this should be very interesting to watch unfold.
