‘The Bridge’ season 2, Carlton Cuse’s ‘The Strain’ premiere dates revealed
While you may be starting to see the runs of some of your favorite network series wind down for the spring (if they are not already over), there is still quite a bit to look forward to when it comes to the cable lineup … especially on FX.
Two of the series that we are especially excited to see are “The Strain” and the return of “The Bridge,” and we have more news on them now in the form of premiere dates.
When it comes to specific dates, the one that we are the most curious about is the Carlton Cuse drama that bears similarities to “True Blood,” “The Walking Dead,” and also “28 Days Later.” This show will start going on Sunday, July 13 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, which marks the first time that the network is really giving this network a chance, and it is a tricky proposition. It’s also interesting in that this is going to put the show up against “The Leftovers” on HBO, which is created by Cuse’s fellow “Lost” executive producer Damon Lindelof.
“The Bridge,” meanwhile, is going to be airing starting on July 9 in a timeslot that most FX viewers will much more familiar with: Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. This is where “American Horror Story” and “The Americans” air, and despite the lack of attention given to it sometimes by the mainstream media, we actually feel like it is one of the most underrated hidden gems out there. Check it out if you haven’t already, and it could certainly be helpful when it comes to understanding just what the story is going to be for the second season.
