ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: When could Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion’s premiere date be?
Tonight, there is no new episode of “Castle” on thanks to “Dancing with the Stars” / “The Bachelorette” forming a one-two punch, and with the return of “Mistresses” coming to ABC next month this is going to be a long summer if you need your fix. You’ll have to either look elsewhere for repeats, or just bust out some old DVDs and get to watching some favorite episodes. (We could watch “Cuffed” and “The Final Frontier” dozens of times, and we’d do the same with “Time Will Tell” if it was out yet.)
So when will season 7 premiere, and you can see Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic solving cases as Castle and Beckett again? We know that the show is a part of the network’s fall schedule for one, and will be airing at the same time following the aforementioned ballroom competition. The only remaining mystery is trying to figure out the start time.
As for when it will be, pencil either Monday, September 22 or the following week (the 29th) on your calendar. Unless ABC does something truly crazy, this will be the most-likely return date for the show. Typically they start things off with airing a number of new episodes in a row, and then things get crazy with the repeats scattered all over. While many serials like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Revenge” are adopting the split-season format, there is little evidence that “Castle” will do the same. ABC likes to have episodes here to pair both with “Dancing with the Stars” as well as “The Bachelor.”

I think Nathan has been pivotal in making Stana a better actress (anyone remember how raw she was in the beginning?) — at times, she even surpasses him!

I”m obviously hoping Castle is not dead, just gotten ran off the road, kidnapped, and had his car blown up for the kidnappers sadistic reasons. Could be K2, plotting for revenge. Ultimately, I want Kate and Castle to get married! They both have great character sets, and are memorable couple! Come on ABC, get ’em married already!

Obviously he is not dead bro, he is the titular character! And they used to have great Character set, I am guessing you mean they are shown greatly, but now it’s way too Beckettish, her mother case solved, only by her, she is the one needing divorce in the last episode, she is the better one in a relationship, everything. Castle is nothing now, thank god that makers are now doing something that can get Castle back on top, as he is the titular character. Though, I wish the old Castle, the real one, the annoying and smart-ass, with witty answers, and handsome, not so fat, comes back

Lest you forget, Harvey, the actor that plays Castle wants to work only 4 days in a week. A Castle fan knows it takes 8 days sometimes even 9 days to film one episode. On top of that on several occasions during just this season (including parts of season 5) he takes holidays in the middle of production & tweets about it all the time.

That is right, yeah, maybe that’s why they are giving Stana all of the limelight, but still, Castle deserves a push.

With all due respect, I don’t know where you work, Harvey, but in the business world there is a time frame to complete a job. In the show “Castle” there is X amount of days to finish an episode. In this case 8 or 9 days for each episode. The actor who plays “Castle” can only work half of those days. What management will do is work around his schedule. If it can be done fine. But not in all instances because storylines could be complicated & location shoots which they do on a regular basis are also contingent to the availability of the place & cast & crew so when push comes to shove you have to work him in limited time as he has stipulated. But in the end there is no contest BOTH are so very important to this show without one or the other, there is no “Castle” so please don’t make there be one. Even Nathan has said interviews & I quote “Stana works like a heart attack” & “she carries the load on this show & I’m very grateful.”
In the end, she always gives credit to the show “Castle” so let’s just sit back & enjoy this great show of ours, the greatest leads in the entire TV world assisted by an able supporting players.
Peace out!

I agree, Stana is a better actor and it’s quite unprofessional of Nathan to work 4 days, but now makers are in this and they have to work with that, it isn’t supposed to mean that they just give the whole character a way back seat.

You have to make do with what’s/who’s available. Even with working less days now than everybody else, in the last Dallas Con where he attended, he again mentioned how long hours he works (but there is joy in the end he says). So I mean, that’s the reality of it. Que sera sera as the saying goes.
Again, let me just say, Harvey, we have a great & fantastic show. Let’s enjoy it & wish for many
more seasons to come :)

Bro, if he doesn’t get alright, then it would not be able to air for a much longer time anyway. Well still, you are right, let’s just enjoy what we are getting right now.

By the way, 4 days or not, Nathan has been quite important in bringing viewers, and had once willingly taken less payment to keep the show on-air, read it somewhere, don’t remember where, so 4 days or not, he has done some good things too for the show.
