NBC’s ‘The Voice’ tour: Who could join Christina Grimmie, Tessanne Chin?
It’s been a long time since “The Voice” has tried to execute a plan for a summer tour, but they are going to be doing so a little bit later this year with a crop of contestants that span multiple seasons of the show.
So who is confirmed to be taking part right now? It is a group that includes the likes of Christina Grimmie, Josh Kaufman, Jake Worthington, Tessanne Chin, Dia Frampton (the only person from before season 5), Jacquie Lee, and Will Champlin.
There is one final spot open for a contestant to sweet in and take, but this will appropriately be decided by the voters and the people who would actually end up paying to see the tour happen. Based on the data that is being reported via Mjsbigblog, the leader right now by a pretty wide margin is Kristen Merlin. It makes sense that she would be the person joining, given that she has been a fan favorite for a while and many felt like she actually deserved to make it into the finale over at least one of the other people.
We do hope that this tour ends up being a success, if for no other reason than that the “American Idol” tour has languished as of late without any real buzz, and with poor sales to go along with that. It’s still to be seen how the one this year goes, considering that the ratings for this season have slipped even further than they have before.
