MTV’s ‘Awkward.’ season 4 spoilers: Jenna and … a beauty pageant?

Before you start to cast some serious side-eye at the title of this “Awkward.” season 4 article, don’t worry: This is not Jenna entering a more adolescent version of “Toddlers & Tiaras.” Rather, this is something very different entirely.

The new episode airing on Tuesday night is entitled “Crowning Moments,” and it is going to revolve around Ashley Rickards’ character having to take on the challenge of handle a pageant all about guys. For those of you who watch the show for the potential eye-candy of a bunch of shirtless guys, you may like what this episode seems to be getting at. You can see hints of that in the synopsis below (via SpoilerTV), along with some extra scoop that should get fans of Jake and Tamara very happy:

“Jenna has a college romance while managing a male beauty pageant; Tamara desperately tries to win Jake back.”

This college story with Jenna (which really started to kick off last week) is going to continue for a while, but you cannot assume based on this that Matty is out of the picture by any stretch of the imagination. As a matter of fact, we can assure to you that he is not, and will continue to be a part of the equation for at least a little while longer. This is basically the same thing that could be said for the entirety of the series, but what can we say? Matty is just the guy who won’t go away, and we still feel like he’s the endgame here.
