‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4: Something new, and something cool
It has been at least a little while since we have teased something in relation to “Hell on Wheels” season 4, and one of the reasons for that is simple: This is a little bit of a quieter time for the show, thanks to the fact that just about everyone is working hard on filming it rather than talking about it. It also is further amplified by the fact that production is in Calgary, which is hardly the sort of place that contains a flurry of American television reporters.
We have at least a couple of cool news things to share with you today, and they are both tied in a way to executive producer John Wirth. First, there is the quote below about the general tone of the season that he gave earlier this month to the Calgary Herald:
“One of the challenges of keeping the show fresh is to bring the show back that we all know and love and want to see but change it up, recreate it, reinvent it for the new season … This season will have a very distinctive feel unto itself. It will be as distinct from Season 3 as Season 3 was from the first two seasons. You’ll know you’re watching Hell on Wheels, but it will have a bit of a different feel.”
Also, Wirth was kind enough to also share recently on Twitter some photos from costume set supervisor Jeff Fayle, and they are very cool for a number of different reasons (think train cars, Durant, and Mickey). So be sure you go over there and check those out if you’ve been missing glimpses of some of your favorite characters.
“Hell on Wheels” season 4 premieres later this summer on AMC.

Mickey probably becomes Durants New ” Elam”…only he’s got more conscience and less stock in the story these days….. Me says Micky gets it next.
