‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 finale spoilers: Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley on Stefan twist
The end of “The Vampire Diaries” season 5 is mere hours away on The CW, and there is one story that you can most definitely expect to see play out: Reactions to the news that Stefan Salvatore is seemingly no longer of this earth.
While you are of course not going to find out whether or not the character lives or dies until the end of the season, you can at least know with some assurances right now that we are going to see much more of this story. Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, Nina Dobrev confirms as much while expressing how Elena is going to react to finding out that the vampire she once loved (and still does on some level) is no longer with us:
“She’s going to be upset, I’m not going to lie … She’s not going to be doing jumping jacks and high-fiving everyone. But you know Elena; she doesn’t take no for an answer, and she doesn’t let death get in the way of anything. … What is death? Whatever.”
Paul Wesley, meanwhile, claimed that he “loved” the twist, but would not really say that much more about it for good reason. It is very hard to imagine that the show is not going to continue forward with one of their most-beloved characters, so if they do the predictable thing and find a way to revive him, it better be one of the coolest things ever. You are really not going to surprise with anything else, unless you make the big move that actually leads to the actor leaving the show.
