The CW 2014-15 Fall Schedule: ‘The Originals’ season 2 moves; ‘Hart of Dixie’ absent
Compared to some of the other schedules that are out there right now, it may be safe to say that the one for The CW for the upcoming fall season is a little … normal? Yep, it really is that shocking.
The biggest breaking news where when it comes to the schedule has to be the shows not included, whether you are talking about “Beauty and the Beast” or something like “Hart of Dixie,” which has spent the past several weeks on Fridays as it works to close off season 3 with a bang. Without further ado, though, let’s get to the rest of it.
Mondays
8:00-9:00 – “The Originals” (new time)
9:00-10:00 – “Jane the Virgin” (new show)
Tuesdays
8:00-9:00 – “The Flash” (new show)
9:00-10:00 – “Supernatural”
Wednesdays
8:00-9:00 – “Arrow”
9:00-10:00 – “The 100”
Thursdays
8:00-9:00 – “The Vampire Diaries”
9:00-10:00 – “Reign”
Fridays
8:00-9:00 – “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” (back to back episodes)
9:00-10:00 – “America’s Next Top Model”
The biggest risk on this entire schedule clearly has to be wanting to give “The Originals” a chance on Mondays, given how woeful that night has been for the network. Either this will kill the show, or establish some momentum that has not been there since the early days of “Gossip Girl” when it was still relevant.
As we said earlier in our “Arrow” podcast, we are actually rather thrilled that there is no one-two punch with the show and “The Flash,” mostly becuase you’re asking a lot to get someone to devote two hours a week to a pair of shows, and they should each stand on their own.
“iZombie” and “the Messengers” are the two other shows that the network picked up, and they, along with “Beauty and the Beast” and “Hart of Dixie,” will premiere later during the season.
