‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 24 (finale) spoilers: Another look at ‘Demons’

On Wednesday night’s “Criminal Minds,” you are certainly going to see an episode that will cause some out there to shudder. It is the end of season 9, and we have an episode in “Demons” that has the lives of at least two characters in major jeopardy. There’s corrupt law enforcement, an unfamiliar setting, and so much more at play.

Is there still a reason to be hopeful that the entire BAU will make it out here alive? Sure, mostly in the form of the fact that there was a major death last season. Killing off characters with every season finale could be seen over time as a little bit cliche, and we assume that CBS would not want to just follow down the beaten, expected path. After all, there are some other options that could be examined here!

The new promo below comes from the show’s Canadian network in CTV, and there is at least a little bit of new footage in here that you haven’t seen already. You’re not going to get too much, though, that is altogether surprising, mostly because the show knows just how crazy it would be to give everything away. After all, you want to really surprise people! We hear now that there is not a plan to have a cliffhanger end to this season, mostly because the show wants to make sure that everything ends in the way in which you would expect.

Season 10 of the show will premiere this fall. We’ll have the full schedule in the days ahead, as CBS has its annual upfront presentation.
