‘Downton Abbey’ season 5: Joanne Froggatt, cast return home after L.A. trip
The “Downton Abbey” cast have been exceptionally busy this year, and doing a variety of different things. Not only have they been promoting a variety of their own projects and doing other work, but they’ve also got to film and promote their own show!
Much of the reason why a few select cast members in Rob James-Collier, Sophie McShera, Phyllis Logan, and Joanne Froggatt were in Los Angeles recently was to do a little bit of promotion for the new season, but it all ended not that long after it began. The actors were all spotted recently departing and going back to Britain, and for good reason in that the series is still shooting its fifth season, and will continue to do so over the weeks ahead.
For all of these characters, there are some interesting things to expect. For example, James-Collier’s Thomas has become a master manipulator and a very shrewd man when it comes to threats, and you can full-on expect these to continue moving on into the new season. As for Froggatt’s Anna, we merely hope that she and Mr. Bates try to find a little bit of peace in their lives now that the loose ends surrounding Mr. Green’s death are taken care of. All evidence points heavily to Bates being involved, but this is a mystery that we may never know every bit of information about.
The new season premieres this fall on British TV, and early next year in America.
