‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 24 (finale) spoilers: An epic two-parter begins

Unlike “NCIS” proper, who is saying goodbye to Ralph Waite with an emotional episode airing on Tuesday night, the “NCIS: Los Angeles” spin-off is going in a very different direction. This is the start of a pretty huge two-parter, which will carry over to next season. There is a joint effort between the DEA and the team to work on a huge drug trafficking ring, but that is not the only issue. Hetty has a big story, and it traces back to what was going on with Daniela Ruah’s Kensi when she was in Afghanistan.

Want to get some more updates now? Then we suggest that you check out the official synopsis below:

When the NCIS: LA team and the DEA uncover the cartel’s plans to slyly transport billions of dollars’ worth of cocaine from Colombia to the United States using a submarine, Callen and Sam must quickly locate the missing vessel. Meanwhile, Hetty is called to Washington in the aftermath of the controversial mission in Afghanistan.”

So where do some of the individual characters fall in this? The biggest teaser that we can give you right now is that if you are expecting closure for some of your favorite people on the show, we suggest that you take a minute or two to take a deep breath. Nothing is going to be completely resolved in here, and that includes the status of the Deeks / Kensi relationship (sorry for all you shippers out there). If nothing else, though, maybe this story will push some of the stories forward.

For those looking for a promo, we’ll have that as soon as we can.
