‘Mad Men’ season 7, episode 5 preview: January Jones returns in ‘The Runaways’
Sunday night on “Mad Men,” we saw Don Draper finally start to realize that the road to his future is not at the bottom of a bottle, but rather through something that actually got him in position he was in to begin with: Hard work. It may not be easy, but this is the only way that he is going to someday be back to being the brilliant ad man that he once was.
“The Runaways” airing next week could be one of the ways that he does that, since he will be hard at work again actually doing the assignments given to him. Not only that, but there will be the return of Betty Francis to the universe again after a week on. Hopefully, she will be doing something more than complaining about a sandwich and wondering to herself if she is a bad mother. January Jones needs more! This is only her second appearance this season, but with Megan possibly out of the picture, there may be more possibilities for Betty to be around now.
Betty’s appearance was confirmed in the promo that aired after the episode (which was mostly otherwise useless, since it suggested more Pete Campbell than we ultimately got). Also, be sure to take a look at the synopsis below for some other updates, including some good stuff for Stan and Ginsberg at the agency:
“Don receives a visitor from his past; Stan embarrasses a superior; Ginsberg gets help from Peggy with a problem; Harry finds a new ally.”
